[ The feed opens with writing initially, but it's nothing of great significance at first. In fact, all the owner seems to be doing is writing his surname on it. ]

[ Just like any other lost new feather, he discovers this mystical video option and goes for it. Way to be super late to the new feather arrival party, Otonashi! ]

I could have used this all along, huh...? Maybe I ... tried? I can't remember very much about what happened the last few days...

Just something about Malnosso and death penalties. [ There's a break in the audio just before he sneezes. Right ― sickness too. Showing up to Luceti without the right clothing for the weather wasn't his idea, that much is certain. Did he stay out too long in it? It looks like he might have. Why? He can't recall, but he did bump into other winged people that he remembers. ]

And... ah, mister Layton! Thank you for your help.

I remember that much. It's a little fuzzy now, [ What fourth wall event? And all those people lacking wings? What? ] but I got most of it. Is there anything else I should know? [ This is directed at any listeners. ]

[ And Otonashi can be found around town, shopping around for a meal. "Shopping" is used loosely here, considering the lack of a monetary system, but nevertheless he is out and about. For anyone who might be familiar with him, he is wearing his "school's" school uniform, except with a wise addition of a thicker shirt beneath it and a scarf. The warm clothes make sense, but the choice in uniform might not.

Everything is going pretty well, and you might either find him stopping at the local bakery (or anywhere nearby!), or worse...

... with a wing slammed in the door. Having these new wings is confusing and weird and he didn't even have to deal with having these things in the afterlife, okay? He was taking in how ornate the paintings inside were. It was just a bakery, he had no idea someone poured so much love into the decor; Otonashi can appreciate the arts! Sadly, the result today is pain.

It just wouldn't be Otonashi if he didn't come into a string of misfortune upon arriving somewhere new. ]

Ah... [ This conversation isn't helping. ] I guess not. You... didn't want to talk about it either.

[ The pastries do indeed look tantalizing; he has his eyes on a coffee cake (of course), but it isn't quite enough to shake him from the subject completely. ]

If I could do something in return for your help. Maybe... coffee? A meal? [ Not that he can cook a great meal himself, but... ]

Ah. There's no need at all, but... I could never refuse a hot cup of tea. [A coffee man he is not.]

[He lingers by the door for another moment, eventually pushing off of it and coming over to look at the pastries. He sniffles, reaching up to wipe his nose on the back of his sleeve.]

[For now, he ignores the question of painful memories. That can wait until they're sitting down with comfort food, right? He turns his attention to the person working behind the counter.] What kinds of tea do you have? [What did his mother do for him when he had colds? Tea and soup and lots of sleep, right? He could probably handle doing that.]

[After getting a list of every tea one could think of, he settles on a blueberry green tea, waiting for it to come as he peers over Otonashi's shoulder at the coffee cakes.]

[How could he miss!? Maybe that's why he made Yuzuru the pitcher.]

[He growls in aggravation, crouching and starting to make another snowball.] Otonashi! [As he finishes one, he hands it up to Otonashi, immediately making another as soon as the redhead takes it. Teamwork?]

[ But Hinata, this is mostly a bakery. Otonashi looks over the selection: mostly baked goods, coffees and a few teas. Don't get too fancy there, almost baseball star. ]

Any green tea with cinnamon. And lemon if you have it... for both of us. And... a blueberry coffee cake. [ He speaks softly, then turns to Hinata. ]

Lemon has vitamin C, and cinnamon has a nice spice and warmth. If you want blueberry tea, there's a tea shop...

Haha, really... I insist! [ That's fine, Otonashi can drink enough coffee for both of them! ]

So... how about at the tea shop, then..?

That would be lovely. Shall I see you there?

[He hurls another snowball, aiming at whichever didn't seem ready enough to take his throw.]

Eh―?! [ He fumbles with the snow, but manages to catch it. ] Is t-that all [ wheeze... ] you can say?!

[ Have a face full of snow, Noda. Nevermind that Otonashi stumbles and might not have hit dead on. It's the thought that counts? ]

Yeah. I'll be over― maybe with a friend? [ It depends on if he can scrape his friends and/or idiot rival off of him... ]

The more, the merrier. [And he's interested in meeting Otonashi's fellows from the afterlife, if that's who he has in mind.]

But they have blueberries and green t- [And then Otonashi is ordering for him. He eyes the different coffee cakes, seeming a little dazed when Otonashi calls for his attention.]

Eh? Oh. [He fumbles for one of the tissues sticking out of his pocket, blowing his nose loudly. Visibly, he's not taking sickness well. He hadn't been ill in years, so he could barely remember how he'd dealt with it when he was alive. After wiping his nose and sniffling, he nods at the medical explanation.] Yeah... We should go later..!

[He tries to sound chipper, only to regress into a brief coughing fit. Maybe if he was actually wearing a decent coat he wouldn't be such a mess.]

[Hideki is furiously packing snowballs, so he's caught completely off-guard as a snowball collides with his face.]

AHHH!

[There was ice in that one! Noda, why!?]

[Momentarily, he's down for the count, tipping backwards and flailing in the snow as he furiously wipes all the frozen off his face and checks for injury.]

Hinata... don't waste your energy. [ It's a command, but a soft one. ] We should get orange juice, too. [ Then, as an afterthought: ]

A-and―! No sports until you're feeling better! [ The almost doctor's orders are complete with an accusing finger. A commanding, frostnipped finger shivering of his own.

What a pair. Malnosso, you need to give out warmer clothes in the winter! ]

Haha... Yeah! I'll be there as soon as I can.

[ As promised, he heads out soon after. Thankfully he only has one addition when he shows up. Bringing along Noda, the resident idiot, might have brought too much commotion. Yuri wasn't around, and he hadn't yet bumped into Naoi.

So, it is indeed just Otonashi and a blue-haired boy showing up for tea. Now to find Layton... ]

[The hand holding the used tissue gets waved dismissively in Otonashi's direction.] It's too cold out for sports! But we could probably go ice skating or have a snowball fight... [A premonition, perhaps?]

[The teas and coffee cake is served up in short order, and Hinata grabs the drinks, gesturing for Otonashi to get the cake. He selects a table near a window letting in some natural light. True to his name, he was happiest getting warmed by the sun.]

[Without thinking, he sips at the tea, immediately recoiling and sticking out his tongue.] H-hot!

[Ohoho, he totally wasn't planning to get that ice in that snowball, but that makes things even better.

He gives a scoff at Hinata, and packs another snow ball to throw at Otonashi while Hinata's down.]

[Layton is sitting at a central table, pondering his tea options. When he hears the door open, he looks up, spots Otonashi's bold head of hair, and raises a hand in greeting.]

Hinata..? [ Oh, that isn't good for a sick person. That much Otonashi knows. Perhaps it is only because Otonashi hasn't had the misfortune of being dead for quite as long as his SSS companions, but his first thought is to call off this entire fight. Could Hinata's immune system handle sickness? Could his own? How well were they working?

He's already dealt with frost-nip and sniffling, this can't be good for the systems of formerly dead― wait. THAT'S IT.

Maybe he dealt with a lot of sickness in life or enjoyed science in school? Otonashi really doesn't know where the phantom knowledge comes from.

But he has it.

And it may be the only way to disable Noda. ]

[The chunk of ice in the snowball resulted in little more than a small cut on Hinata's right cheekbone, but it still stung.]

[He sat up, his butt in a snowbank, watching as Otonashi screamed about something. He tenderly touched the cut under his eye, checking it for bleeding.]

[He'd ask for a bandage, but... Otonashi seemed to be busy.]
